Olleros July 2015
Olleros is a World known trail in Lima. It probably is the trail with the biggest vertical descent (12,000 ft) on earth that could be done in one day.
The name Olleros is given to a small town known for potting and ceramics in the middle of the mountains, spotted at 3,444 (12,000 ft) over Sea Level only 3 hours away from Lima. Many of the cattle farmers of Olleros migrate once a year with their herd to Pachacamac`s coastal hills which get Green and full of vegetation during Ollero`s and the sierra´s dry season. The need to feed their animals is how this trail started many hunderds of years ago.
Starting with an 18 km non-stop DH, the trail changes to a more pedalish riding inside a big dry river that takes you to the ocean were only the brave take a dive after riding.
